This 948 engine was removed from a Bugeye in favor of a more powerful 1275. This particular engine was removed almost entirely intact, meaning it still has all of its accessories attached. This includes:

• Generator with tachometer drive gearbox, pulley and fan
• Ignition coil
• Points distributor with side entry cap and plug wires
• Complete H1 carburetor set
• Water pump with pulley and four-blade metal engine fan
• Crankshaft pulley
• Factory 948 exhaust manifold (one ear broken off, will need replacement, perhaps with an exhaust header, which we sell )
• Flywheel and clutch with disc and pressure plate

A starter is not included, but we sell both used originals (available ) and new hi-torque gear reduction starters (available ).

This engine provides a great starting point for someone looking for an engine for their Bugeye! We are not able to test-run this engine and the carburetors are in unknown condition, so this engine is being sold as-is.
